    I'm not worried.

If they pass it they manufacturers will simply move to more gun friendly states and employ people that appreciate their freedom and rights. Illinois has proven to be nothing but a pimple on the USA's butt for the past 20 years. I can't remember the last time I've heard anything good or pro-American coming out of that crap hole. They vote in ultra-liberal politicians and this is what they get, more unemployment. I'd like nothing better than to see Springfield or Rock River set up shop in Fort Wayne, or Indianapolis.

It would be awesome to see these companies come to Indy!
But that would leave thousands out of jobs in those areas...

Cut and dried case of reaping what one sows, IMO. Play with fire, sooner or later you're gonna get burned. Sure, they may have what they think is a gun-free utopia, but everything has a consequence, and opportunity cost. Might just be that massive unemployment is theirs.

I could never understand why most firearm manufacturers are in such anti-firearm states.

I also can't understand why Cabela's is spending so much money defending a store in the anti-firearm suburbs of Chicago, and stopped construction of a store in firearm friendly Greenwood Indiana!

What is it about anti-areas that draws manufacturers and others?

I think this should sum it all up for them

Illinois has some of the strictist gun laws as well as the highest crime rates. I never understand these people's thought processes. When will the people stand up to these politicians and demand that they quit taking away the rights of the citizens they are elected to serve and start adressing the real issues at hand instead of their own agendas. There are way to many sheeple around these days.

Let's all start writing to Uncle Mitch!!!

Hey Indiana has lost a lot of manufacturing jobs lately. Let send some mail to the Gov. and get him to invite these gun makers to there new home in Indiana! I know we have a few empty manufacturing facilities around. I'll bet Anderson would welcome a few new Manufacturing Jobs! :patriot: :ingo:

could we seriously draft up a letter/email to send to mitch?

i think the best thing we could do is make an actual paper letter and have everyone here sign it.. and send it in.

i dont know why anyone would want to run a business in illinois.. besides the tons of people who you can pay low wages, but you get what you pay for.

it would be awesome if DSArms and everyone came here. F illinois.

Mitch is a member of the Motorcyclist Rights group which I am a member. We have many dealing with him, and I would be happy to have our State Director set up something where we could get a letter to him. I would need to know how many and what manufacturers we would be wanting him to contact.

For those of you that shoot trap, remember a few years ago when the ATA moved the Grand National Trap Shoot to IL? Taking lots of shooters and $$$ to the great state of IL????

Everyone said it would be the end....people still go and spend their money there.

Unfortunately, my home state is run by Chicago. 6 million people in the city/burbs. Easily half of the state, most of them stark raving mad socialists.

You get outside of that s***hole and you're back into regular small town America. I grew up in a town of 800 people and was as gun-loving as anyone I knew.

I don't know if the numbers will be accurate or not.

Rock River Arms only employs about 80-100 people
    Armalite- 20-30
    Springfield- 40-50
Not sure about LMT, but they would run adds for CNC operators on the radio all the time.
Les Baer had 20ish, but jumped the river to LeClaire because they were tired of the crap a couple years ago.
Not sure about DSA, but they're right up in the burbs, so they're part of the problem, lol

I supposed there would be some trickle down of supporting industries getting affected, but there aren't a whole bunch of people that work at these places.

well they all need to move and work here. if everyone who actually contributed to illinois economy moved out so they could get their rights back, they might actually change.. actually thats just wishful thinking, they will still blame someone else.

Speaking of Illinois, is anyone else here shaking their head about the move of Guns & Ammo magazine to Illinois??????? What were they thinking??????

Look, this isn't all about guns being "bad"..... it's about avoiding culpability. Violent crime is a Chicago legacy. The Mayor and police can't fix the problem, so they make anti-gun laws so they can point at Indiana, Iowa, Wisconsin and Kentucky and tell their citizens that the problems originate elsewhere. They position themselves as heroes because they are "trying" to fix the problem that is unfixable.
