I am upping the crimp on my .38 loads, on account of having a bullet come unseated while shooting my 442 and dump powder into the cylinder. Thought I broke the gun until a helpful person found a bunch of powder lodged under the ejector.

44 special and 44-40, using the same Lee 200 grain cast bullet, just sizing the 44-40 to .427.

    Bringing back the .222 Remington..

In the process of getting back into some loads for the "Triple Duce".
Gathering some brass, and even "Re-cycling" some .223/5.56 brass for this use.

I’ve been processing 3k 223 brass lately. I sorted out the commercial brass, trimmed, and decapped it. Now I’m working on trimming, decapping, and swaging the military brass.

I can’t stand to do more than a few handfuls of brass at a time, so it’s taken a while.

Loading perfect brass will be worth it though.

My most recent endeavor is 110gr Accubond bullets in 270 Winchester cases, with a reduced charge of H4895. (I recently had some troubles with my retina and wanted a reduced recoil option.)

This load drives the 110 AB to around 2,500fps, making it comparable to, or slightly faster than, a 6.8 SPC. The recoil is truly nominal, especially compared to the 140gr full-throttle stuff.

What diameter are you getting as dropped?
Thinking about trying the Lee but need .431 or a little bigger.

My Lee 6 hole drops .430 which works for everything I have in 44 special, the 44-40s have to go to .427 through the sizer as the old Colts won't take anything bigger. You can bump up a Lee mold some by putting a mandrel in the base of a cast bullet from the mold, then coat with toothpaste. Put it back in the mold and hold with light pressure while you spin the bullet with a cordless drill slowly. The trick is to go slow and make checks so it doesn't get too large.

    You tumble BEFORE you sort??

How do you keep: 9MM/.40 W&W/.45acp. .223's from getting inside each other??

    Been there-done that..Bill.

Sometimes I tumble before sorting. If anything is stuck together it'll come apart or get pitched. The tumbler was full of lake city 556 before I started dumping the range brass in. This was all free brass so I'm not sweating it over a few lost rounds. I'll be holding on to all the 45acp I find, got a colt combat commander in the safe waiting to be fed.

Still rocking through thousands of military brass hoping to get them to .223 spec eventually.

I am about half shy of having enough bullets to load up all of it.

Doing some .45s after trimming the .223 gets boring.

I got bored with deburring and swaging, so I loaded some .223 brass that I’ve been working on. Pulling the handle on a few hundred flawless rounds makes all that case prep worth it!

I ran out of my go-to powder, WIN748, and switched to pull down WC844 (H335). I tested 30 rounds and it’s GTG.
