You mean african american? Isnt he only half african american?

if he were african american he'd be ineligible for presidency being an immigrant. in accordance to popular belief he is a citizen, which means he is american, of african descent. a black american.
the only people that count as '-americans' are immigrants. the first gen and subsequent are just 'americans.'
'black' is a descriptor, similar to 'short' or 'tall'

What does that have to do with the price of turnips in Belfast??

Standard means of dodging well-deserved criticism.

You mean african american? Isnt he only half african american?

He is 1/2 white, either 1/4 or 1/8 black, and the remainder arab--and 100% dishonest and destructive, where the actual problem lies.

I was worried when I logged back on and seen this thing had went to two pages. But I'm pleasantly surprised that most of it was positive. But I'm curious what the presidents race has to do with price of tea in china? He's black so what. Most the senators that passed Obamacare were white. Race is a non factor for me, but maybe that comes from serving three combat deployments with men and women of all races. My original point was we are facing a very rough time. And the very ignorant ass people who chose this path are *****ing. This a direct extension from this bull **** Walmart strike. Ohh working on a holiday offends you? Go ask a soldier sailor or marine deployed and MIGHT be lucky enough to talk to family on some ****ty as phone that barely has good reception using phone cards they had to buy for some sympathy as you go home to your family after work. Or better yet when REAL unemployment is 14% be happy you have a job. Ask the employees of hostess how striking worked out for them. Albeit that was a combination of horrible business practices and a union led strike that contributed to that fiasco. But still. We as a country made our bed. And now the liberal democrats of all people don't want to lay in it. And to that I say too damn bad, and go f yourself!
    Sorry about my soap box.

    Fair and reasonable rant!

Yup...most of the country voted to watch the jets crash into the towers...(metaphorically speaking),but to be fair, this is a course our jet has been on for a long time, and NOBODY has been elected that would take drastic measures...

This is incredibly disrespectful to the victims of 9/11.

Those are worldwide cuts and have nothing to do with Obamacare. While there's plenty of finger pointing to be done, do it for the right reasons, not imagined.

You forget where you are. Everything has to do with Obamacare. Also, birth certificate socialism guns and religion secret Muslim didn't build that Sharia law confiscation Kenya Kenya Kenya.

Did I miss anything? Not the black thing. There are plenty of racists who hate that the PotUS is black, but they usually manage to keep their mouths shut about it.

No,actually...it is quite an apt analogy and your response shows that the point was clear! Another thing that I am certain of, is that if you hang around this website you will be educated in spite of your previous conditioning.

Not at all. A disagreement over economic policy is not at all comparable to thousands of people, American and otherwise, losing their lives in a tragic terror attack. That you don't understand this speaks volumes.

Your second point is nearly as groundless as your first. I've been a member here since mid-2008, and if anything the viewpoints expressed on this forum have reinforced my positions. That you consider my views to be the result of conditioning and those expressed here to constitute education is incredibly condescending. Luckily I've learned in short order that you are not be taken seriously.

    Pot meet kettle.

Do explain. In what way have I been disrespectful of the victims of the 9/11 terror attacks?

This is called confirmation bias. We all do it.

As for the second part, I only meant that you are not the most respectful guy on here...

The greatest catastrophe of our lifetime is the breaking up of the Republic established by very wise men....and ,yes ,I have seen many of your posts,(great job on the satire,by the way...)I do not believe that anyone could be so incorrect,so often, without trying hard.

My personal rule is, if the company specifically cites Obamacare, it's Obamacare. Otherwise it is market conditions. The market is more powerful than the president or any one piece of legislation, and none of us knows the internal struggles of those in control of these organizations.

I've been RIF'd a number of times, long before Obamacare, and it makes no sense whatsoever to lay the blame for it at Obama's feet unless he is specifically cited. Layoffs happen.

Clarify: To what do you refer by "this?" I'm familiar with confirmation bias, and it has nothing to do with calling into question the value of equating a squabble over fiscal policy with the murder of thousands of innocent civilians.

I'm not sure how to quantify respect, but I don't believe that I am generally disrespectful. I believe in civility. Some seem to believe that dissent is disrespectful, but that is beyond my control.

Your disregard for human life is breathtaking.

Please explain how the Republic has been or is being broken up. I see no evidence thereof and doubt very much you can provide any. Please note that "taxing the wealthy and providing services to the poor and disabled" does not qualify.

I value human life to the degree that I believe that abortion is morally reprehensible....And perhaps a better term would be to say that our Republic is "morphing"into a freakish society of Socialists that demand benefits that they have not earned. We cannot do anything to save the lives that were taken on 9/11,but just MAYBE we can honor their memory by holding onto a remnant of the ideas that built our Nation.

All I have to say about all this, right now, is this- from personal experience: My place employs 42 people. We have committed to not expanding to 50 because we would be significantly hurt by having to comply with the Orwellian-named "Affordable Care Act." That's real world, and we're not the only ones put there.

I am pretty sure its safe to say that the republic is dead when the president can assasinate u.s. citizens with impunity.

So let me understand all this. Some on here don't think that the country is headed down a dangerous and sad path? You must also be the same hypocrites that think Chris Mathews calling Palin a C*** is ok but Rush calling a slut a slut is reprehensible? Abortions and birth control should not be funded by the federal government. In all honesty it should be a state issue as all healthcare reform should be. Don't like your state views? Move to one that is more in line with your views. That's the beauty of this country we can move about freely to seek personal happiness. And before some on here gives me that bullhonkey response about not being able to move to another state I ask how your family came to being here? I would believe for most of us it was on a treacherous boat ride from Europe. The comment about 9-11 wasn't disrespectful. I see it as n extreme analogy but one that really strikes his point home. If it hurt your feelings then just ignore it.

And yes I think Sandra Fluke is a slut nd is a prime example of what's wrong with this country.

:+1: She is not destitute, she has morals that would scandalize an alley cat, and does not want to accept responsibility for her behavior but rather wants to impose it on the rest of us. Sounds like a slut to me.

I suppose you have never had extramarital sex. Please explain what about her morals is so scandalous and clarify what would constitute accepting responsibility for her behavior.

I can understand the position that birth control should not be covered by insurance, but the extreme right seems unable to exercise moderation in response. The bizarre attempts at slut-shaming the woman don't actually play outside of ultraconservative echo chambers. They're unfounded and beyond the pale, but this is the sort of thing one expects of an inherently misogynistic philosophy.
