So I think I want a fixed blade now. To be honest, I have no need for one. But, I am a little envious of the guys that have one, because I don't have one.
I don't know what I would ever use it for, what I would cut/chop. But it would be nice to have ONE, just in case I ever have the need for one.

Where do I even start? :dunno:

    Budget would be $100-$200.

Knife lady for a start... Esee 3 or 4 or 5 would be a good start for your price range.

I have both the 3 and 5. This past weekend I used my 5 to cut something and realized I may want the 6 now.

The Condor boomslang looks like a pretty sweet blade for $80 or an esee junglas for $160, cant go wrong with those

If your going to go with an ESEE, you really need to handle the 3, 4, 5, and 6 to see which one you think will serve you the best. Oh, and you need to check out the new Laser Strike model also. :twocents:

    Don't do it man!

Knives in general are addicting, fixed blades that chop down tress are like the crack of the knife world. So whatever you do, do not touch a ESEE Junglas. If you do you will be hooked after the first time you use it to sever some poor defenseless sapling (or 2X4). You have been warned, its a dark road. By the way if you need a fix, see Knife Lady. :yesway:

If I could spend $200,and wanted one fixed blade.....I would save a little longer, til the next 1500,then bargain hard with a dealer selling Randalls

Good luck with that. He does not bargain well. Besides for a Randall dealer he does not have much of a selection.
