    Looking for an inexpensive Rossie or H&R single shot in either .308 or 7.62x39 (or maybe 30-30 even).

    Got the suppressor bug now and thinking of making me a poor man's covert "snipper" by casting heavy bullets and handloading subsonic rounds. Something to play with...

    I have inexpensive NIB Savage bolt action factory threaded in stock. You have the right idea. I shoot heavy bullet low velocity .308, VERY quite, sounds like the Blackout / Whisper (I have those also). Use an adapter with your can and use it on your .22

    Also the little single shot H&R 300 Blackout is cute, short, and cheap!
