To receive your $200.00 payment, simply send your old KLUNKER* with a copy of your form 4473 and proof of purchase of your new Classic pistol (no later than Friday, December 4, 2009) to:

*KLUNKER refers to a handgun from any manufacturer that you wish to trade in for the $200.00 payment. Gun must be
operational and free from cracks in frame or other key components. KLUNKER must be a semi-auto pistol 9mm or larger, or revolver of .38 caliber or larger. SIG SAUER reserves the right to reject any firearm submitted as a KLUNKER that does not meet our criteria. Rejected firearms will be returned to sender. Please allow six (6) to eight (8) weeks for delivery of your check. This offer cannot be combined with any other program or offer.

Klunkers will not be accepted for payment after Friday, December 4, 2009. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Too many rules, just like Congress had for cars. I have an old beat-up .32 S&W revolver that I'd love to send in as a klunker for a $200 rebate on a new SIG.

Wild West Guns had Sig p220s in 9mm with the stainless slide and night sights for 479. Seems like a steal to me! After rebate, you're gettin a sig for less than 300 bucks!

Technically it should since .380 = ~9.5mm.

I'd consider it if I had a gun that was worth $200 or less.

Two hundred dollars minus the cost of shipping equals a lot less than two hundred in my way of doing math.
A 9mm or larger pistol or .38 or larger revolver in operational condition, free of cracks,if it meets their criteria ............a real good chance this handgun is worth more than the rebate to begin with........

a .380 is a 9mm short, and the rules say 9mm or larger (didn't specify 9x19 or larger).
So YES, you would qualify.
I think it would be better to buy a raven/lorcin/bryco/cobra .380 for $50 and use that as a trade.
