Saw 2 different little tent/kiosks in Marion yesterday with banners all over the place saying FREE PHONE FREE MINUTES

Both places had lines stretching completely both the lots the tents were set up in. It was really really pathetic, I thought.

Don't know who was sponsoring them, but still....

Saw one of these free phone tents at the Dollar Store in my little town on Tuesday. I wasn't sure what exactly was going on but there was a crowd and I saw later someone on Facebook railing about it. Hard to believe that it actually happened and in my small (just over 5K population) town to boot. :dunno: :noway::noway::noway::noway:

Funny, there is a guy agonizing over whether he should shoot a coyote that attacks his dog on this forum, because he is afraid he will violate his town's ordinance prohibiting the discharge of a firearm in the city limits.

    Here is the conversation..... https://www.indianagunowners.com/fo.../246829-help_coyote_almost_killed_my_dog.html

I think, and it is totally an unsubstantiated opinion, that most folks will just roll over in the scenario put out by the OP.

After all, shooting a blue helmet guy will probably be a violation of a local ordinance that prohibits the discharge of a firearm in city limits.

I consider both worthless Varmints. The Zombies in my area would have the blue helmets for dinner.

In the grand scheme of things, Blue helmets are pretty far down on the list. I'd classify them as about equal with zombies.

Remember fellers, a gun behind every blade of grass. The establishment knows it too. I'm sure your local 3%'r will show themselves pretty quickly. Just look for the guy poppin feds at a good standoff distance.

Another reason to get into Ham'n, decentralized command structure.

I would say that you are right so far as the sheep representing the majority. It seems that the average American today doesn't care about much as long as he/she is warm, dry, fed, and gets laid once in a while. Throw in an element of fear and it would seem that most would do exactly as you expect.

The typical gun shop customer these days pays with plastic and has less than a week's food supply in their pantry. When they run out of food they will gladly turn in their weapons to get fed at a FEMA camp. The government doesn't have to come get the weapons. All they have to do is turn off the water and electricity for a week.

    Instant lemming, just add hunger.

If that day ever comes, I would put down my ACU's and use everything the Army has taught me to protect my family. The only way someone would disarm me would have to be by killing me. If the blue helmets showed up, they would be treated as an intruder and as someone who is there to cause harm to my family and would be handled as such.

The only way this nation will be disarmed is through voluntary compliance. Sloth, selfishness and apathy are our biggest threat today and the federal government not only encourages such behavior, but smartly rewards it. Gun "buy backs" will be the simplest path to confiscation. This country has reached the tipping point and it's next 50 years will be decided in the next 1500 days.

I agree won't happen. To many scenarios to take place first for this to happen, to many happy gun owners.

If blue helmets are confiscating guns in the US then our military has already fallen and we are in a WROL scenario. Our military simply would not allow foreign troops to operate in this capacity on US soil. Think about it for a minute. How would blue helmet troops even get to the US? Most UN aircraft are actually US aircraft with US crews. Those that aren't US are most likely British, Canadian or French.

I'm a lot more concerned about our rights and our freedom being taken away a little at a time by congress passing laws that for the most part are well intentioned, but can be used against us. FEMA is a good example of this. Most FEMA workers are good people wanting to help those in need, but FEMA's national framework and broad powers over the states is concerning. Of course, Obamacare is another example of taxing citizens into compliance. This is JMHO.

BTW Timcor3, Congrats on your first post! :rockwoot:

Sure, it would more likely involve the rights being removed over time... and then a series of voluntary release of firearms to the "authorities", yeah? Those that withheld would probably just be prosecuted if they were found to have them, where they would be considered "illegal" to have.

I know blue helmets is a big stretch. And I can't see a group of huffy socialists coming to doors of known gun owners and asking politely to take them away.

So America goes along with the UN, and it progresses to a point of blue-helmets coming to our doors and ridding us of our firearms.?

If it gets to that point. We are already engaged in a civil war. I would advise you to run to the sound of the guns and join the battle.

Blue helmets would never just show up on your door...you would see things happening long before then...have time to hide your guns and your preps. We would be in a civil war long before then.
