Iver Johnson PAS12. Has a novel feature... Push a button and the shoulder stock comes off, leaving a pistol grip.

It lasted almost 24 hours before I had to lay my snake skin camo onto it.

My 1946 Ithaca model 37. First gun I ever owned, dad gave it to me. I really never shoot it anymore, but I do clean it and oil it ever six months.

This is special to me. This is the defining firearm of my entire childhood (I'm 26), something I never thought I'd get the chance to own. A unicorn purchase, for sure. It's not so much about what model the gun is or what it's purpose of use is this time, this is instantly not just my favorite firearm but my favorite possession. I spent countless hours as a kid watching Jurassic Park, and imitating what I later found out to be a SPAS12 chasing my dogs around saying "clever girl", or re-enacting the Terminator. (Then it followed me up through my high school years as my favorite weapon in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, again countless hours. When I started taking firearms more seriously I looked into them, bummed that because of some bulls*it importation and "sporting purpose" classification restriction laws I'd likely never own one, or find one in the right configuration worth owning.

Anyway, sorry if I sound corny, but this is by far my favorite firearm purchase to date.
