    JUST DO NOT CARRY IT ON YOUR PERSON!

    As long as it is unloaded & enclosed in a case, carrying it on your person isn't a problem. See the case I quoted above. She was carrying an unloaded gun in her purse & was found not guilty by the IL SC.

    Maybe he wants it so that if he has to stay overnight in a motel he would have some protection? There are any number of valid reasons to carry a gun in your trunk. That's reality.
