Rember the AR isnt only chambered in .223. Get multiple chamberings to cover everything. From .22lr to 50bmg. But I do have the disease I guess since I currently have 3 chamberings and a 22lr being built at Spikes currently.

That’s the worst advice ever for EBR disease, what you just said will cause a mild disease to turn into a sever disease. I remember the first time I realized that I could get uppers and lowers in many different chambers, I about bought all of them that night.

It's best to just embrace EBR disease.

Otherwise you'll be just like Oprah battling her weight. Going from less fat and ugly to more fat and ugly in a vicious circle.

I've always heard the "evil black rifle" thing, but I didn't think of EBR=evil black rifle put with "disease". I'm all caught up and on the same page now. Slab saw my joy, I am so ready to buy one.

well you need to start by deciding if you want to build or buy complete. then decide if you want a shorter or longer barrel. being your 1st one, i would assume you want a .223 instead of any of the other calibers.
once you figure out what you are looking for you can start checking out different brands.

Someone infect me with EBR, please! hahaha

Ryan witnessed my original "infection." We had met at the summer Indy 1500 and then later he stopped to talk with me as I purchased my first AR at the AAC table. You were near enough that I suspect you are already a "carrier" of the EBRD. Symptoms may take longer to appear in some folks.;)
