    A few years ago, a friend of mine (who is a computer tech) had a computer virus/worm that he could not save the computer. Instead of worrying that he couldn't erase all of the data on the hard drive, he took it out to his father's woods and put two 12 gauge slugs through it. He said it was very satisfying! :D

    I just threw out a big stack of old hard drives. I was saving them to put holes in, but I have no place to shoot anything other than paper.
