I have a FN SLP and I'm very happy with it, I had surgery on my wrist and can tell you that is a very soft recoiling shotgun and very reliable even with bulk ammo.

Good to hear this! I just bought one but won't get to shoot it until I get back home in may!

My vote goes to the beretta 300 series (303,390,3901,391)... I have an older a303 and never have had a problem... I have heard that they have trouble with light loads but that was resolved in the newer models. Great proven shotgun on the sporting clays circuit... If that's something you are interested in?

I recently had the opportunity to shoot a SLP and I am going to buy one as soon as I can afford it. I may have to sell a few others. It shot very fast and extremly soft. I already dumped my Benelli auto and have one more I want to part with. I got to have an SLP. I want the shorter barrel but like the extra capacity of the longer version. Does it come in a 20 ga?

The Marines do not screw around when it comes to weapons. With their limited budgets, they chose the best value on the market, period.
