Email I received from my FIN.... he's not against guns, just against carrying them
I agree this is a great idea for the anit-gun community. I will stick with 00buck.

I know some of you own GUNS but this is something to think about...

If you don't have a gun, here's a more humane way to wreck someone's
Evil plans for you. Did you know this? I didn't. I never really thought of
It before. I guess I can get rid of the baseball bat.

Wasp Spray- A friend who is a receptionist in a church in a high risk area
Was concerned about someone coming into the office on Monday to rob
Them when they were counting the collection. She asked the local police
Department about using pepper spray and they recommended to her that
she get a can of wasp spray instead.

The wasp spray, they told her, can shoot up to twenty feet away and is
A lot more accurate, while with the pepper spray, they have to get too close
To you and could overpower you. The wasp spray temporarily blinds an
Attacker until they get to the hospital for an antidote. She keeps a can on her
Desk in the office and it doesn't attract attention from people like a can
Of pepper spray would. She also keeps one nearby at home for home
    protection.
Thought this was interesting and might be of use.

On the heels of a break in and beating that left an elderly woman in
Toledo dead, self defense experts have a tip that could save your life.

Val Glinka teaches self-defense to students at Sylvania Southview High
School . For decades, he's suggested putting a can of wasp and hornet
Spray near your door or bed.

Glinka says, "This is better than anything I can teach them."

Glinka considers it inexpensive, easy to find, and more effective than
Mace or pepper spray. The cans typically shoot 20 to 30 feet; so if
Someone tries to break into your home, Glinka says "spray the culprit
In the eyes". It's a tip he's given to students for decades.

It's also one he wants everyone to hear. If you're looking for Protection,
Glinka says look to the spray. "That's going to give you a chance to call
The police; maybe get out." Maybe even save a life.

Please share this with all the people who are precious to your life
Did you also know that wasp spray will kill a snake? And a mouse!

    It will!

    Good to know, huh?

It will also kill a wasp.!!!!

If you are attempting to break into someones house....

This is a flat out lie. I accidentally sprayed myself in directly in the eyes with Raid Wasp & Hornet Killer two years ago. I was not blinded and did not need to go to the hospital. If I was a bad guy who had been sprayed by a potential victim, it would not have deterred me in the least. On the contrary, it might enrage the attacker and make the attack even more violent.

Spam emails of this type should not be passed around. When the information in them is bull****, they can encourage people to take actions that may actually be detrimental to themselves.

That's good to know, you should write snoops! I believe you though, I was a bit in doubt when I read the word antidote.

Then you need WISP spray I guess

You mean WISC spray. I don't think they are Protestant.:D

So, I'll need WASP and WISC spray? With the flashlight, the alarm clock, the WASP and WISC spray, the IWB and the pistols, I'm going to need a bigger night stand!

I agree that these fictious statements can do far more harm than we sometimes realize, do't want to think about someone getting harmed due to bad advise about something like this, I agree discredit it!!!!

I'd like to see figures for the number of children that are seen in emergency rooms for an accidental discharge of this wasp killer. How many insects are killed every year???

Seriously, I'll be looking for a warning label in a few months on every can of RAID that says 'Not to be used as a self protection device'.

I'm wondering if the formula has changed over the years. I know an old lady that lived alone in Northern Michigan who drove off a black bear that was trying to get into her cabin by spraying wasp spray in it's face. Of course this lady would also take a chair out into the middle of the road to get people to pick her up supplies from town. She woul sit there until somebody came by.

I would expect the lying liberal idiots at snopes to get this one wrong on purpose. They often do and the majority of the populace just blindly believe everything they read on there because they are told to....I'm not even going to look, my computer is too valuable to me to take the chance on that site.
