Self Defense Ammo?

Just courious about self defense ammo. How would it perform as a whitetail hunting round.

Not enough information. Are you talking 380 defensive ammo or 454 Casull?

I don't think it was your intention, but this is the kind of question a troll might ask.

Not falling for it, if that's the case. Obey the game laws and use legal cartridges for hunting big game. Leave the pistols for fun, practice and self-defense!

NO troll here I was thinking the 44mag and the 357mag. I have never and will never hunt any animal outside the law.

44 or 357 mag Hornady FTX or XTP work fine for deer.

Whether you consider that "self defense ammo" or not, I don't know.

.44 mag hp ammo performs very well on deer, out of my Vern Trester custom built Ruger red hawk.
