If I were a SS agent and on a protection detail... I do believe that I would have to resign or ask for a transfer.

Personally, I could not, in good faith, protect that man.

If I couldn't get off the protection detail without resigning, I'd resign. And then I could get another LE job anywhere in the country.

First of all, you'd never be an SS agent, let alone on that detail, with that attitude. Who the POTUSA is really does not enter into the equation, and if it does, they're removed from the detail. Those men and women protect the Office of the President of the United States (among others), not necessarily the person sitting in the chair (although it does come with the job.)

I agree. Anyone tries taking a shot at this guy and they'll have more fuel for the gun ban fire. Lever or even a bolt and it wouldn't matter. "Assault" weapons and other Semi-Autos would probably be gone.
