Scrapes and Rubs

Anyone finding any scrapes and or rubs? All our deer in Northern Indiana are still in full velvet.

No, still full velvet here also. I did see a VERY small fawn on the way to work the other day. Tiny, still had the spots of a new born. It was feeding along the road. I have seen other small ones but this was very young deer.

I think the Mild winter has them delayed. Nothing here yet. Cams are still showing velvet.

Saw a fair to middlin 10 pointer while squirrel hunting Sunday morning that was still in velvet.

thats rare.. i have also heard of deer not loosing there antlers..

I saw a group of three the other day. Two bruisers running with a little what would have been 6, but one side broken off.

I caught one big boy on cam but couldnt see his rack behind the tree about 2 weeks ago at aroudn 2:30a.m.

I havent seen anything but a doe walking around on my 5 acres. I do live real close to the Wabash so i think they are hanging close to the river.
