    wait for it.... wait for it.... $5

    I haven't tested it yet, but it looks to be in good shape, and the lady said it does work and she offered to light it. I just trusted her and took it anyways.

    It was made in '84 and uses white gas (not LP).

    I'm excited for our camping trip coming up in week and a half!

    ETA, that goes along with all my other Coleman scores in the past few years.

    Coleman 2-mantle white-gas lantern made in '87 with hardcase and and extra mantles, not a single spec of rust for $2

    Coleman LP 2-mantle lantern with very slight rust and 4 tanks of LP for $5

    Great deal, the only thing I've had go bad with mine, is the seal for pump. Its an easy and cheap fix. I use regular gasoline in mine. Much cheaper!

    I tested it out in the garage last night... it burned good, hot and clean with the fuel that was still in the tank!! :rockwoot:

    I always get lucky on my Coleman scores, I haven't had to do any work/repair on any of them yet.

    I picked up a classic three burner at an auction for $15 once. That's my best score to date. Still runs like a champ. Might get a propane conversion for it so I have two options for fuel.

    Man,
    I thought I got a good deal a couple of months ago.... a 15' x 9' Ozark Trails tent, a 3 man tent, large dining canopy, 2 catalytic propane heaters, 1 infrared heater ( Dynaglow ) Coleman 2 burner propane stove, drip coffee maker for the Coleman stove ( brand new ) & a Coleman insulated water jug with a spigot. Also got a sleeping bag.
    Oh, I had to lay out $50 for all of it!!
    I also bought an 870 Deer Magnum w/ scope AND a Browning Invector 12 Ga. $500 for both!!
    Did I do good??:laugh::rockwoot:
