people of ingo,

i have a savage mark II bolt action with accutrigger. Its a left handed model. I love everything about the gun other than the stock. It doesn't look horrible it just doesn't feel quite right. I was wondering if anyone out there has one and has put a different stock on it and what you put on it or where i may be able to find one. thanks in advance

Go to RimfireCentral.com and check Boyd's stocks. They have a large assortment and most people speak highly of them. Good luck

I have a lefty Savage Mark II as well, mine had the wooden stock, i love it. i did slide some velcroed neoprene over the grip for extra comfort though.

I have the MK II right-hand version and had the same problem as you.The stock is a little light for good holding and the comb is too low to be comfortable when using a scope. I bought a Boyd's thumbhole stock and that took care of the problems for me. However,new stocks aren't cheap and many people go for a cheaper fix.You can install a lace-on cheeck pad and drill out the stock to add any amount of weight you desire.Either way,you will vastly improve it's shooting capabilities.
