What an awesome father! Way to handle such a loss with reasoning...
Wow! I honestly dont know if I would be able to handle something like that!
Thank you, we surely need people like that...

Sadly, this did not come out until after the politicians (of both parties) had already pimped the children murdered by a crazed jackass.

Takes a lot of courage for a father to do something like that after such a huge loss. He deserves to be heard. Will Obama listen? We already know the answer to that one.

I watched the testimony on fox news, he was great! Passionate, emboldened...A true patriot it would seem .

I've actually been waiting for one of the parents to come out and say something like this. I didn't figure all of them would irrationally blame guns.

He did a great job. That was very brave of him to stand up say what needed to be heard. Being the father of a kindergartener myself, I teared up a little, not the least bit ashamed.

What a powerful, emotional, and rational speech. Thanks to the OP for posting. I wonder if Mr. Mattilio is a gun ower or just a rational person.

We were just discussing this amongst ourselves at work today. One guy kept asking, "where's those who were affected that don't have the, "all guns are evil" point of view.." then I get home and see this. I'll be forwarding it to him.

It was a very rational and direct argument. I hope the politicians listen.

If only more people were as reasonable as this man. I feel terrible for his loss and what his family is having to endure, but I hope the result isn't further infringement of our rights as Americans.
