    I was just curious.
I dont have a saiga yett myself (want a 5.45 to convert tho).
But there has been a few times that it would of been nice to know if my friends saiga would handle some of my ss109.For instance when hes out of wolf, and I have a case of 62gr PMC lap.
Thank you for the answer guys

I have been buying/saving brass becuase I plan on getting into handloading at some point.
    Hopefully in the near future

I was not suggesting you put 5.45 down your .223/5.56 barrel. You can find .223 steel cased pretty easily for $200 per 1000 rounds. That is what I meant. I do not believe any .223 is corrosive, but I don't hold me to that.

5.45 down a .223/5.56 barrel would be a huge no no, if it is even possible.

    Yes sir.
I'm just thinking of cost and maintenance.

Im sorry I should have made myself clearer.
I was not suggesting that either.
My friend has a .223 saiga, and I have a surplus of ss109 for my xm15e2.
We just wanted to make sure it was safe for him to shoot my ss109 when hes out of cheap ammo.

I also meant that I plan on joining the saiga club with a 5.45, not shooting 5.56 or .223 through it lol.

Well, I was not offended anyway, I just did not want you to misunderstand.

I do not think it is that much more effort to clean when shooting corrosive ammo, but it is nice to know I can put my gun away dirty without worry that it will have the salt in the barrel.
