Many people want to know when their Smith & Wesson pistol or revolver was made. S&W customer service can help.

Call 1-800-331-0852, ext 2905. Tell them you want to find the date of manufacture and be ready to provide the model and serial number of your gun.

This service does not cost anything. If you want a letter certifying the history of your firearm, that costs $50 (Firearm History Request - Smith & Wesson).

This should work in the majority of cases. If it does not, I am not the right person to ask for further guidance. I have no idea if they offer this service for rifles or other brands owned by S&W.

Can I get a sticky?? Mods?? Anyone?? Bueller??
