S&W Brass??

Sorting through some range brass I found this afternoon and came across some S&W headstamp brass. Never knew S&W had ammo commissioned for them. Anyone know who manufactured the ammo for them? I did a google search and most people who had seen it were stumped on what the 4 dots represented for as well. Sorry for the crappy cell pic I was too lazy to dig the camera out

Back in 1979, I bought a S&W Model 59, 9mm, and purchased new ammo, from S&W, 90 gr., 100 gr., and 115 gr., HP, r n, and HP .....

We took in a S&W Model 29 on trade last year, and it came with about 100 rounds of spent S&W .44Mag cartridge cases in the original S&W marked boxes. I think those are still on display over at Bradis II. I had never seen S&W branded ammo up until then.

Yeah I have seen alot of weird headstamps over the years, but this was my 1st S&W

I am looking at a box of S&W 357magnum 90gr jsp. On the box is says
S & W Ammunition Company member Smith&Wesson Sporting Goods Group
Rock Creek, Ohio The way it looks at one time there was an ammuntion company owned by them. Now the next question what was the ammunition company named before S & W took over. Who manufactures ammunition in Rock Creek Ohio?

From the google fu research I have done, S&W purchased Alcon ammunition out of Ill. Started up manufacturing in the rock creek arsenal and partnered with fiocci to produce ammo.
