Seriously? Vigilon. Stuff is amazing. Stocked it for years and used some treating some grill burns a few week ago.

"Hot, son. What part of that didn't you understand??"

Is lice shampoo on your list?
(That's a big seller at the start of the school year. It has it's own special display at Walleyworld.)

    Lip balm?

Super glue? (for some cuts) (find in Cosmetics Dept. with false eyelashes.)

Pill crusher/spliter? (for those on meds)

Eye droppers? (for meds for kids/pets)

    Alcohol swabs?

    OTC.
Ibuprofen, aspirin, acetaminophen, benadryl,a few antihistamines(claritin ect),Pseudoephedrine, antibiotic creams, alcohol, iodine, peroxide, daily vitamins(mens, womens, and childrens),imodium(it is the only over the counter tummy medicine that is actually doctor approved for most travelers diarea ie bacteria in the water),decongestant, cold meds,Vitamin C(large stock as it can be used for things like canning potatos),hydrocortizone cream, lamisil AT(good for athletsfoot, but more important if you have children it kills ring worm,a fungal infection...yes first hand experince and the doctor recomended it...gone in 3 days or so).
There are a few I am probably not listing that we have. We check these for expiration and pull out things we use and replace with the fresh from the store stuff. Some things last 5 years or more others like creams and such less than 2 years.

    First aid.
I do not have time to list everything lol. I will say with the 1500 next weekend stop and see "Mr Medic". He has all the glass ware lab type stuff. He also has some things you can not get any where else. An example would be a cauterizer(small pen with a tip that hits 2k degreese in about 2 seconds for sealing a wound, starting a fire,ect..).They are around 10 dollars I think,it was a few years ago when I got mine.He also has some disolving suture kits for 2 dollars each or so.Get things you for your kit you hope you never need.

    Home brew
Fennel (anti flea they hate it?),spearamint, honey, aloe, parsley(mash fresh leaves for bug bites).

For trauma see first aid :)

I would die with out my q-tips lol.

I need to add the lice stuff...currently do not have any and that very well could be a pain in the @ss.

Good stuff. Although I'd opt for packaged sterilized sutures and hemostats, then pray to God I'd have the stones to use them.

I can't go anywhere without my "cheaters" any more. Good idea to throw an extra set (one magnification level higher) in the kit.

With all due respect, I'd think you'd be in line behind the thugs, if not in major risk of them cutting you up on the way out.

I always think of what if??? Like what if you had to at some point remove a limb or deal with a bad gunshot wound these things would be more valuable than anything especially the antibiotics. I always try to get the Doctor to double me up on those if I get sick so I have extra to save for SHTF, Unfortunately they are only good for a year or so. When I get prescribed pain meds I almost never take them at least not unless the pain is just unbearable, I just hold on to them. some of the other items can be found without going to the RX Nitrous Oxide could be used to preform surgery and can be purchased legally in charges for whipping cream. Ether can be obtained from starting fluid. Many of the items on that list would be pure wish for stuff and more valuable than Gold in SHTF I imagine they could be had in small quantities if you have a Dr or a Vet in the family. As far as thugs are concerned.... Well isn't that what being prepared is all about being better equipped and trained, ready to deal with undesirables... In SHTF if my family needs something and there is any way I can obtain it I am going to acquire it... Or die trying...:ar15:

I agree about the broad spectrum antibiotics. Both Doxcy and Amoxicillin (as well as stronger, injectable antibiotics) are readily available via pet supply houses like Calvet (http://www.calvetsupply.com/)

Of course, you should never use prescription drugs of any kind without a vaild perscription and under a doctor's supervision...blah, blah, blah.

Along with all the stuff mentioned...I also keep and a bottle of "Wallys ear drops"...

I have so much amoxicillin I dont know what to do with it all (and it's all powder form, ready to mix).

We keep almost everything mentioned above. a few things I didn't see listed were, clear nail polish (cover and kill chiggers that have inbeded in your skin), and super glue. I'm not much for needles, I tend to super glue my self shut. lol.

    Good thread, keep 'em coming!
