Seriously, though, this is terrible.
Guy #1 is a huge tool for doing this, much less for loading it and passing it off to someone.
Guy #2 is an idiot with no idea as to how guns work, but the matter wasn't helped any by Guy #1 pulling a trick on everyone.

Distant friend of mine (friend of a friend of a friend, really) had finished field-stripping his Glock, racked it, put the magazine back in, put it to his head and pulled the trigger - to the dismay of his girlfriend, who didn't realize that a round wasn't indeed chambered, and who fell backward in fright/shock and, I gather, almost died from a concussion when she hit their glass coffeetable.
