Ruger 10/22 or Remington 597?

I bought a 597 a few years ago and love it. I installed a volquartsen hammer, extractor, CF high tension barrel, and archangel stock. It looks awesome and stacks holes at 100 all day long. People that say there are no custom parts out there are wrong. There are not a lot out there but the volquartsen stuff is great.

Have you considered the Savage 64? I love mine. The only complaint I have is I can't find anything other than 10 round mags.

Took the 597 out since I installed the Volquartsen target hammer and extractor my groups are significantly running tighter, Once I order the heavier Boyds stock and try out some match grade I think they can run even tighter. shopin for a decent optic if someone wants to give me a PM

I have a 10/22 for close to 20 years and not one single issue, I bought my son a 597 for his birthday in feb. We have yet to empty one mag without it jamming. Even bought new mags and still the same problem.
