    Hopefully there’s room for Chargers.
Was the ugliest gun I ever saw but had all Kidd internals and barrel with a Franklin binary trigger. Shop couldn’t sell it due to how ugly it was. Included a few pics of the transition.

Once the purple was bead blasted I just took my time and sanded with high grit until finishing off with a buffer wheel on the table grinder for a nice polish.

GSG 110rnd drum works well with it. Do get a lot of FTF with the binary.

I did throw another 10/22 into that chassis just to see what it would look like.

I've seen some 10/22 Tacticals with the Samson stock that I liked but places were asking 700.00 so I waited on got a Tactical on sale through Dacks for around 275.00 and then bought a Samson stock on sale for 250.00 so I have one at about 525.00.

I've been thinking about taking off the barrel band, and trying different inch lbs of torque on the take down screw 15lb 18lb 20lb etc.
Then maybe sand down the stock around the barrel enough to free float it, and see if that improves accuracy with some of the ammunition it likes.
Like Eley force, Norma Tac 22, Aguila Super Extra 40gr.

Do you all think this would be worth a try?

I have heard that removing the band can improve accuracy.

When I'm able to get going again I think I'll give it a try see how it does. I'll stick with Eley force because that is what it shoots the most accurate with.
I'll give my report on if it's a waste of time for a stock 10/22 or not. Give me something to play with this summer.

I never tested my 10/22 before removing the barrel band really...

But it stands to reason it should be more consistent due to temperature/humidity dimensional effect of the wooden stock not being transferred to the barrel...

I got my first 10/22 this year, these posts really make me want to do a custom rig, suppressed 100%, in a backpacker stock
I got the recent collectors edition, and I feel like its weird to modify so I see another 10/22 in my future for sure

I'd love an old all wood(real wood) 10/22 also
