I friend of mine has a Ruby 7.65 Model 1914 that she was showing me and it was pretty dirty. I'm thinking she's had this 25 years and has never cleaned it. I showed her how to field strip and clean it. We then used grease on the moving parts and a light coat of oil everywhere else. After we put it back together I'd swear the trigger pull went from 8 to 16 lbs. Is this possible? Anyone ideas? It's a pretty simple gun, I can't image you could put it back together
    Thanks

It's clean with a light coat of oil. Still has me baffled. I can't imagine we put it together incorrectly, I tried to see if the safety was in the wrong position during the assemble or something similiar. Something's not right. Any Ruby owners out there?

I disassembled a PA63[Walther copy] awhile back, same problem. A bushing had fallen out of place, local gunshop fixed it in 5 minutes. I still am not sure where it was,as it's hidden by the grips,it's likely to stay that way-Good luck,Merry Christmas
