I found two 5" round diamond plate pieces of steel on the side of a highway in Michigan the other night. (I had to pee).
Anyway, they are about 5/16's or 3/8's thick. I drilled a hole and attached some chain and now I have 50-100 yd .22 rimfire targets.
I won't be using anything more than 22 because I doubt these are anything other than rolled steel. I painted them up and can't wait to head to the range to see if I can make them sing.
I also have 3 other rolled steel plates ranging from 10" to 18". They have soaked up hundreds of rounds of 22 (never closer than 50 yards).
So I now have 5 free steel plates to sling lead at.
