"Fightin' Side of Me" makes me wanna get drunk and kick a commie right in the balls.

6 years in the Navy fighting commies, now I'm surrounded by them. Ugh.

I never really paid much attention to the music, but will remember him as a man who understood what this country is supposed to be, as evidenced by this quote:

In 1960, when I came out of prison as an ex-convict, I had more freedom under parolee supervision than there's available... in America right now.

Sadly, people now think that freedom seems to be freedom to tell everyone else what to do.

I mentioned Willie, and Kris earlier as still being with us, and was reminded of Charlie Daniels...he gonna be 80 and still touring. I got passed on i94 by his tour bus up by Battle Creek last night.
