    Hmm, I prefer the Jack Links snack sticks.

    I have acid reflux and the Jack Links dont bother me near as bad. They also dont have MSG in them like the SlimJims. MSG also messes with my guts.

    Home made jerky. You know what's in it, its about $5/lb or less depending on type of meat used, and it makes the house smell great.

    Same here. Klaus's German Meat Market will slice the meat at the thickness you specify. We have a Nesco food dehydtraotr, and its nothing like the old slow ones that Ron Popeil sold. It makes jerky from shoulder roast in about 4-6 hours.
