Don't worry, this should be my only one. Called it quits at the end of july. ;) now that the oppressive heat and the Olympics are over......... I spent the afternoon at the range.

I've owned these 2 for 5-6 years, but put them through the conversion process(stamps) over the two previous months. told a buddy that they were my retirement gifts to myself. tried out some new 20ga buckshot with good results. Rio #1 buckshot, 9 pellets. this was about 10-12 yards, the yellow dot is 1&3/8". grouped a lot tighter than the federal #3 buckshot. (20 pellets)

also took my TX22 Compact. put another 325 rounds through it. I love this pistol, great practice gun. I put the thread protector that used to be on my ruger ranch on it, and now the front of it doesn't get dirty.

Planning on going again this week, a retired buddy wants me to take him to the range this week.

This might be of interest since you are shooting 20ga, Federal has been teasing this for a while so hopefully they actually come through, 10 pellet #2 buckshot with the flight control wad so it will group really well too.

Good to know. I'll keep an eye out for it.

I also like that Rio stuff. They had it on sale about 7 years ago real cheap so I thought wth?

Nowadays I have an eye condition that keeps me from shooting so much. Whenever I think of what the replacement ammo will cost me my eyes well up with tears and I can't see straight. A sign of the times...

Congrats on your Retirement & joining us Retired Shooters.
Folks told me before I retired "You'll get Bored & wanna come back to Work."
That was over 2 1/2 yrs ago & I'm Still Retired, Suckas.
As long as I am able to Shoot & Play Golf, there will be No "Going back to Work!"

Happy retirement! My last 3.5 years of freedom have been rewarding and hope yours will be also.

Even better when the range is in your back yard!
I have that available also and plan to use it more and also get back to sporting clays. Finished now with projects at the homestead for awhile.

It’s a Tuesday, almost midweek, I’m retired, I’m going to the range today at 9:00 am!
How great the ride will be to the range rather than going to work!
    Carpe Diem!
I went yesterday and had a great time. But the range was a little busier than usual since the big game hunters are sighting in their scopes. It’s too bad all you guys are way down in southern IN.

I kept hearing the same BS. Granted I have only been free coming up on 2 months, but so far, I am having more fun than… well monkeys or something.
