    Just a thought

Can be anything, doesnt have to be a synonym just a replacement for this highly overused word. I swear that everything in the gun community is Tactical nowadays.

    Rant over:D

Perhaps it's just the "gun community" in which you reside. But, in keeping with the request of the OP, how about "Wannabe"!

    "Operator certified"

I think "Operator" is moving up quickly!

Yeah, basically Tactical has two categories.

    1. (And this is the one everyone seems to be bashing) Tacticool gear. Looks flashy, costs more than it's worth, serves little to no tactical purpose and won't stand up to the beating that a fighting situation will give it.

    2. Operator Grade gear. Don't care what it looks like unless you need specific purpose appearance (IE: coloring to match your environment). It's got to be functional and meet environmental and physical durability requirements for fighting situations. Has an exact purpose for any and all features and no features that don't provide some benefit in a fighting situation.

Boobies. Because while not everyone likes the word tactical. Everyone loves the word boobies. Instead of saying Tactical AR, try saying Boobies AR. I guarantee people will be hanging on your every word.

    tactical

"Tackykewl" or too heavy to be practical! Like the guy at Wilbur wright that had a flashlight, a laser, a fwd grip a bipod and a UTG handguard on a heavy BBL DPMS carbine! and I forgot the A2 upper with a 6-24x40 tasco scope and was bragging bout how TACTICAL it was! He could barely hold it up to shoot it and had the laser and light on at 11:30 in the morn! :dunno:
