thats what I mean though. one positive rep from you because of all your gold, is like getting 10 reps from average users. its lopsided. rep is supposed to show a members credibility on issues in my opinion. rep whoring can take a person who doesnt even post on the board except in the PW thread, and make them seem legitimately valued by members when they really arent. i dont know how to say that in a better way.

You hurt my feelings thank a lot, now i gotta go start an Im leaving thread

oh and we dont have much neg rep power, it doesnt work that way. What should have been a red badge was just one bar when i neg repped someone a while back.

well maybe the mods changed it or something, because it was that way. i had just RE-got my gold badge back , and almost had a full bar after that and a rep whore (no, not fenway) negative repped me one time and took me back down below a gold badge. there is NO WAY a normal members rep could do that. i couldnt even take a full bar of rep away and part of a badge by negative repping.

Relic had 5 golds, 4 silvers, 3 bronze, 5 dark green, 5 light green and 2 gold bars. I took away both gold bars and 4 light green. From that point using positive rep, i would have given him a bronze and brought him right back to where the bar was

I remember seeing someone with a Red Badge and wondered how you could get that much Neg Rep and not just be banned. I figured it was someone just playing around or something. I also didn't know that Rep had different power. Like I said earlier I never paid much attn until lately.

That reminds me of a funny story. When my brother in law was in grade school, he learned about a bird called the yellow bellied sap sucker. He went home and announced that his dad was a yellow bellied (something else) sucker.
