    I did the online app and the electronic fingerprinting yesterday, paid the local po-po today. I expect to have it within a couple of weeks. Total cost: $110.

    Sounds like Utah's "permit," is better than Indiana's "license."

    But then it's not exactly a contest. We get what we can get.

    I did the online app and the electronic fingerprinting yesterday, paid the local po-po today. I expect to have it within a couple of weeks. Total cost: $110.

    I applied online on the 29th. Got fingerprinted on the 2nd, paid local Sheriff's office on the 3rd. Got approved on the 6th. Received the lifetime pink card in the mail on the 9th. So ~9 business days. Way shorter than last time when I got my 4 year.

    Right. They have a training requirement and no lifetime permit. :noway:

    Frankly, I like what we have. Just think the renewal process could be easier (for those folks that don't have a lifetime yet, or chose for whatever reason to go w/the 4 yr license).

    Look, there are going to be advantages and disadvantages to just about everything, but our system? I'm not complaining....wait, is not complaining a bannable offense?
