Just wanted to know what is he best way to remove blueing off a Ruger GP100 revolver with scratches and drag lines on the cylinder?
I was told that soaking it in white vinegar for about two hours will help the finish to get soft because of the acidity, also the use of BIRCHWOOD/CASEY Blue & Rust Remover or Naval Jelly will do the job..?
I will like to keep the cylinder bare metal without reblueing it and use Mother's Billet Metal Polish for protection but my main concern is rust since the cylinder is not SS? I'm not sure about this, that's why I'm asking for sugestions and/or recommendation. Thanks in advance!
