My uncle is nice enough to provide me with some surplus 12ga ammo about everytime I see him. This weekend he gave me a few boxes of #6 Winchester and one curious little shell.

A Remington 2x6 is loaded as a mix of #2 and #6 shot. From what I've read it was marketed as a pheasant load.

Any scattergun aficionados have experience with performance/patterning? I also cannot find whether this load is being currently manufactured by Remington.

I know the 4x6 is a turkey load. I've been looking for the 2x6 in one of my books and can't find them.:dunno::dunno:

I have just the one. The print on the side is fading, but does read 2x6 with a Remington head stamp.

The 4 and 6 shot makes sense for turkey due to intermediate size.

My book is a 2006 so it's ether newer or older. I'm going to have to look into them a little more. They sound interesting.
