    The rough boards look period correct for the old style rifle. I did tuft and button royal blue velvet trying to get a classy royalty look, but it ended up looking like something a pimp would have. You did better.

    You need to rotate the tape measure about 90 degrees ccw and then I think you got it!

    I prefer when the barrel is pointed slightly down and the gun is perfectly centered l to r. But it’s what you prefer that counts!

    Looks good, but why is it just a wall hanger? Must have missed the back story. No way to make it a functional wall hanger?
    I picked it up at a flea market. It's an old Markwell kit gun and the lock is broken. It won't hold the hammer back. Probably not cost effective to fix.

    It looks well used. Someone built it and put it to work, so now it's retired and I will display it over my fireplace.
