I look at head gear first. You can tell a lot by tine length, main beam frame, and mass. Then I move to the body, looking at chest depth, brisquit, and belly. Deep chest, heavier brisquit, and sagging belly= older deer. Slim belly and straight back means younger deer. I'd guess your deer 3.5 to 4.5. I still estimate his score to be higher than many of the guesses posted here, but the only way to know is to put your hands on him....
