Is this normal ? I don't want to freak about nothing .

The retainer plate area is bent one way a little.

Juat took my g26 apart looks similar to yours just a bit crooked.:patriot:

    I see..

Makes me want to be cognoscent of this when assembling.. Favor the higher slide on the barrel so it evens out.. And perhaps combats any potential issues with sliding off.

I'd just call glock and see what they can do for you.

I may give them a ring and see what they say. I may just be being over analyzing this. Just want to make sure of its proper function.

Removing the slide and not touching anything the retainer seems to be clearly sliding off.

This is normal and the ring on the back of the guide rod only needs to be tight in the recess on the barrel during reassembly. As soon as the slide is moved after assembly the guide rod usually slips out of that recess and in fact frequently will fall out on it's own accord during dis-assembly this is also normal.

The RSA (recoil spring assembly) usually falls out of the notch in the barrel the first time the slide is cycled this is normal. It only needs to be in the crescent shaped recess in the barrel while putting the slide back on it seldom stays in that slot during normal cycling of the gun. :)

Thanks for the info. There's more to these "simple" designs then some think!
