I'm thinking about getting a 12 rd. ProMag drum for my Saiga 12. Has anyone used one and what did you think of it? I can get it new for $71.97, is that a good deal ? Thanks
Unless the size is completely unacceptable, I'd go with the MD20. In fact, I did go with the MD20!
I will say that the 12 round Pro Mag (AKA "nut sack") gets surprisingly good reviews on the Saiga 12 forum... but I've never heard anyone say it's more reliable than the MD20.
I'd go for the 20-round magazine if given the choice. For the price of one of the 12-rounders I picked up 3 high-quality 10-round mags for the same price.
Mike davis is supposed to be releasing double stack s12 mags here soon, he already has a flawless prototype but i'm not sure where he is at on production, but a 20rd stick mag would be the shizzle.
I been waiting for the double stack mags for a while now... Luv my 2 MDArms 20 rd drums though... Talk about flawless operation too... at the last NWI INGO shoot the guys must have put several hundred 12 g shells through them and my Saiga 12 without any hipcups whatsoever...
