Quail Hunting

I live in Central Indiana i am looking for some good places to quail or pheasant hunt. Any tips would help and i am willing to travel.

Are you looking for a Put and Take type hunt, State Draw hunt, wild birds?

By travel, do you mean leave the county, leave the state, or want to ride along to Wyoming with me next week?

Do you have a dog?

If you want to do put & take try Lost River-They will provide Dog & Guide or Birds in a field. Ive known the owner Bob Hudelson for 15 years, never been disipointed

I've enjoyed hunting at Lost River Game Farm also. However, I don't think that they will provide a guide & dog for quail any more (too many accidents).

Flatrock hunting Preserve is located west of Milroy just off 244. It is about 30 minutes from you. Good cover and they can provide Quail, Chukkar and Pheasant. A friend of mine from the Cumberland area guides for him quite a bit.

I've hunted at Flatrock, Pheasants, and it is a very well run operation. Merrill has some great dogs; I love to watch them work.

thanks for the info. i am looking for wild birds (pheasant, quail and turkey) or put and take and i do have a dog and will travel within the state.

i would also like to know where there are quail in south eastern indiana they seem to be scarce for the past few years
