I cheaped out and went with Century CETME, but only with the cast stainless receiver. Even those can be hit and miss, but they're like the little girl with the curl: when they are good they are very, very good. They kick less hard than expected, and there is very little that can go wrong with them.

mine works just fine, ran the hell out of it to see what it would do, didn't have a issue.
