I don't know if this has been gone over before....

If you tap to give rep to a post on an Android phone or tablet, you cannot type in the rep pop-up, it disappears. :n00b: This is annoying to those who like to explain why they are repping.

If you long tap on the rep icon, you get a menu and can open the pop-up in a new tab (or window). Then you can explain the rep. All better...:ingo:

Same/similar problem on iPhone. It also exists when trying to enter info in the search dialog. For the rep, I'll cut and paste a remark I put in the notepad app first.

IDK, for some reason on my iPhone the screen scrolls up to the top. If I scroll down, I can find the dialogue box. I touch it, brings up the keyboard and I'm GTG. :dunno:

Mine too. And sometimes I have to do that 2-4 times before it'll behave and let me enter a comment. That's why I usually do the cut and paste thing.

If i am reping from my phone, I don't feel the need to tell them why.. IF i really want to rep someone and tell them why.. I do so from home.. :) because it will be that important to me! Night night all

Yes it works on my HTC Evo Slider too. It was mentioned in other threads that there was a problem with androids and typing rep. I found out when I got a Transformer Prime for Valentines Day. I would be lounging around w/ ingo and would try to rep somebody, the pop-up would show, when I would click in the text box the keyboard would display and the pop-up would disappear. I could just click on the Add to rep button, but could not type a reason. That's when I found the workaround, then it was mention I should share it. So here it is.
