    I've never wanted a name or saying engraved on any of mine for a few different reasons.
    However, the ranch I grew up on had a registered brand that I've often thought would be neat. I'd never put it on anything that I didn't intend to stay with me or in the family forever...and since I can't guarantee that, I probably wouldn't do it.
