Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've posted here. I did a month in Sante Fe, NM for WTC (boot camp for the army for prior service guys), sat at Ft. Knox, KY for a few months for AIT for Cavalry Scout, now I'm in Korea at Camp Hovey for a year. They assigned me as the .50 gunner for our lead scout.

LRAS, I can see people up to 3 miles away clear as day..... in the dark. It'll give me the range, my 10 digit grid location as well as were I'm aiming it.... Basically an $80k binocular

Nothing like 35lbs of **** to lug around on top of everything else... IBA's suck!

K1A1... The Korean version of our M1A1 Abrams, it's pretty much the same, just fires a slightly smaller round

Sooo, you know my good friends, Agony, Misery and Heartbreak. :D

I ran a Ma Deuce in the 2nd ACR back in my day. Heavy muthaf.... We didn't have optics back then.

    Scouts out! :patriot:

No more weapons of that power for me, but I still remember them.

Once you dismount with an IBA with e-sapis, side plates, and daps with 330 rounds on a 140 degree day you'll know what sucks really means.

Actually, I never did the hills... I didn't do Army boot camp, and as a prior service insert we didn't do much of anything there. I even got pulled out of the 15k and 20k to move the Bradley's to and from the field.

Lucky for you Toole, they are a beast. I was there for BT back in '86, I'm sure they aren't any smaller today :D

That's what the privates said when they came back from the 15k and 20k ruck marches ;) Some of us inserts had to do the 20k but unfortunate me I had to get my oversea's shots on that day. :patriot:

Might not be as current or as cool as some of the others posted on here.

But FWIW here's some of me back in the 80's doing some Fire Support for the Infantry up at Camp Grayling, MI. These shots were of me and my field office (jeep) :D And the A10 we called in for close air support. :yesway: :patriot:

Cool pics for sure. When I was in the AF back in the very early 80s I never got to shoot anything bigger than the 60 cal. And I only got training in it as I was part of the base demolition team should an evacuation of the base was ordered. Thanks to you and all the other for continuing to serve. :patriot:
