i have a lil remington 22 plingster. Was curious if getting some sort of scope for it would be a possibility and what people thought would be a good one for just range shooting.
22's don't kick a scope around so most any inexpensive scope will work pretty well, lots of used 22 cal scopes on Ebay by the way. As has been suggested a 4 power works well. I have a 3 x 9 on one of my 22's - like it real well as my eyes aren't what they used to be. The more expensive scopes are better when shooting in dim light, but just about any work well in bright sunlight.
i bought a tasco 3x9x32 from wally world and cant complain. holds zero & decent glass its been on my marlin for about 5 years without a problem, and it only cost about $40.
I have a BSA Sweet 22 on my plinker. It is 3-9x40. It comes with 3 different elevation turrets for different weight bullets....36,38 and 40. They have elevation adjustments written on them from 50-175 yards.
It is quite accurate for range and the glass is clear.
I got it on Ebay.
If you are near Rushville, you are welcome to come check it out and sling some lead down range.
