    Fed. 230 Hydra-Shok JHP 10+1 in a PT145 .

Big bullets = big holes , big holes = faster blood loss , blood loss hopefully = faster threat neutralization .

    I don't pretend I could get 1 shot kills .

45 acp has been my main carry since I started carrying, and will continue to be. Currently in my springfield 1911 mil spec, soon in my V12. Although I do want to get a small 9mm as a bug. Prob a keltec pf9 or something similar.

oh yeah, as for the ammo I carry. Currently my most carried load is the federal 230 gr HST, but I do normally keep a couple mags worth of the 185 gr +p hst loads on hand, and my 2 10 rd mags are currently loaded with 230 gr gold dots.

9x18 Magsafe. In a Makarov or a CZ 82. 7.62x25 has a tendency to deafen and burn things. Works really well on retreating Soviet soldiers.

I"ve carried a 1911-style for over 40 years, and see no benefit to changing now. If I went to a smaller/lighter handgun, I'd walk funny...er......
