I don't think it is a really good analogy at all, because broccoli is reasonably healthy, it just tastes bad.

It seems more like eating a dog turd to avoid a cat turd, or vice versa.

Given that the meme was likely created by a Trump supporter, it's not hard to imagine that the author pictures Trump as the healthy alternative. But I agree, both are more comparable to cat and dog .

I realize that this is four years old, but I have to say that he did a great job representing the 2A against a liberal news interviewer. No missteps. Even got her to agree at the end that gun ownership makes sense, though she may not have realized that she did. Seven minutes long, FYI.
