polish pps sbr

so i bought a polish pps and i was wondering if anybody new how hard it would be to make it into a sbr or if i could just pay the 200 dollars and then just cut the welds

It's apparently a little more involved than just cutting the welds. IIRC, CSMW in Missouri will do the work for like $100.00. Worth leaving it to a pro, IMO.

Not hard at all. On the earlier ones you would need few internal parts replaced as when you cut the welds some parts would be unusable. I'd say buy a parts kit for spares in any case as they are cheap. As long as you have some common sense, simple tools and decent google-fu you should be able to do it at home easily.

Sad thing is the OAL of the receiver is so long, an SBR doesn't seem like it would be worth the trouble.
