    This has been happening alot lately. He'd most likely do more harm than good if he did anything other than observe and report.

    I didn't know carrying a concealed baton was illegal. Is it?

    I cannot figure out where this happened? It says South Bend Tribune but does Indiana consider these "dangerous weapons" to be illegal? (sand filled glove, SAP?)

    it sounds to me like most of what he had was what cops carry. hmmmm cops ok anybody else not. is this a pattern?

    It was in Michigan, and no those are all legal to carry under IN law. The only things that I know of that are regulated for carry other than a handgun is a taser or stun weapon, and those are legal to carry with a LTCH. Stun guns do not need a LTCH. If it shoots darts or has a shock higher than 5 milliamp/60hrz it needs a LTCH.

    • one count of carrying a concealed weapon, for allegedly carrying a folding steel baton or bludgeon, a felony offense, which carries a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison or a $2,500 fine;
    • one count of carrying a concealed weapon, for allegedly carrying weighted Sap (sand filled) gloves, a felony offense, which carries a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison or a $2,500 fine;
    • one count of dangerous weapon -- gas ejective device, a felony offense, which carries a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison and, or a $2,500 fine;
    • one count of dangerous weapon -- miscellaneous, for allegedly possessing a bludgeon, a felony offense, which carries a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison and, or a $2,500 fine;
    • one count of dangerous weapon -- miscellaneous, for allegedly possessing a sand bag, a felony offense, which carries a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison and, or a $2,500 fine;
    • and one count of disturbing the peace, a misdemeanor offense with a maximum penalty of 90 days in jail and, or a $500 fine.
    WTF!?!?!?!

    A trespassing charge is justified. The rest of that is some serious B.S.

    I'd side with Batman over the 2nd Amendment haters.
